Who we are

Paint Pinot (“we”, “us”) operates guided paint-and-sip classes in Canberra and New South Wales. This policy explains what information we collect when you book a class, buy a gift card or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your name, email address and optionally mobile number when you book a class
Your name, email address and recipient details when you buy a gift card
Payment information (card details are processed by our PCI-compliant payment partner; we never store full card numbers)
Session notes and attendance records for each class you attend
Enquiry details for private events
Basic technical data (IP address, browser type) via server logs, retained for up to 30 days for security

How we use it

To confirm your booking and send you reminder emails before your class
To contact you about changes to your booking
To process gift-card redemptions and refunds
To respond to private-event enquiries
To improve our service and troubleshoot issues

We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing email unless you have explicitly opted in.

Who we share it with

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform servers in Sydney (Australia). We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform:

Resend for sending transactional email (bookings, reminders, receipts)
Square for payment processing
Airtable for internal operations
Google Cloud Platform for hosting and database
Cloudflare for DNS and security

Each of these providers handles data under their own privacy policies, linked from their respective websites.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for 7 years for Australian tax record-keeping requirements. Gift card records are kept while the card has a balance, plus 3 years after full redemption. Server logs are retained for 30 days.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you can ask us to:

Show you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correct any information that is inaccurate
Delete your information (subject to our legal retention obligations)
Stop sending you reminders or other email

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to remember your login session (admin only) and to improve site performance. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on our home page for at least 30 days.
